FATHERSS IN THE FIELD OF BIOLOGY
Hey guys,
The following figure will discuss about fathers in the field of biology.
as we know that there are many parts of biology.
eg:-zoology(Aristotle),Microbiology(Louis pasteur) etc.
Development as a sequential knowledge of biology
took place in the era of the famous Greek philosopher Aristotle (384-
322 B.C.). He revealed his thoughts about various aspects of the life of
plants and animals. Therefore, Aristotle is called as the Father of Biology.
Biology is the life science which is derived from a Greek word 'bios' meaning life and ‘logy’ meaning study. That is, it is a science of nature which deals with life and living organisms, structure of life, function, evolution, growth, distribution and taxonomy. The term biology was first used by scientists Lamarck and Triviranus in 1801.
The study of living beings for improved understanding or prediction of natural or other phenomena is called Pure Biology or Basic Research or Fundamental Research.
They are driven by curiosity, innovations in science. Whereas the study
of living beings to develop various technologies or techniques to alter
natural or other phenomena is called Applied Biology or Applied Research.
